The battle of mobile OS' will probably go on for decades, however i'm here to justify why I use which OS (Android or iOS) and how it came about.
Scroll back to a few years ago; the release of the iPhone had everyone buzzing. It was like a Motorola RAZR on steroids! Something that is just so right that it becomes an absolute necessity.
Fast Forward to circa 2010, a relatively late-bloomer within the buzz, but I finally managed to convince my parents to allow me to get an iPhone 4.
Within just over a year after, I had an iPhone 4S.
Now, within this time, the household grew towards the hype and somehow ended up like this. Nothing serious by any means, but Android was unheard of..
Present, 2016, parents have iPhones, brother has a iPhone, I have an iPad; wheres the Samsung come from?
Honestly speaking, iterations of generations of iPhones that are in logical order offer only slight advantages over their predecessors. I didnt want to converge to the longer iPhone screen and another iPhone that does the same things as before; but I wanted a newer phone. A quick Spec comparison saw the Samsung Galaxy S4 as a suitable replacement for the 4S.
The Samsung has been a great phone, however it is showing dramatic signs of ageing. 4 years of use, it lags, ejects its sim on it's own, freezes at the best of times. Android is such a flexible operating system for users that settle beyond call/text/photo.
Now I'm in a dilemma again. Upgrade to a flagship Android device or go back to what i used to admire, and get the latest iPhone 7 Plus. What happens now will be documented later on within this series of blogs.
