Accessories for phones, everyone has them but of course they differentiate among phone users. Apple has a wide range of accessories for their devices ranging from docks, headphones, cases, and many more.
Apple has partnered with many companies such as Bose and Sennheisser to produce docs for the iPod, iPhone and iPad, these docks have evolved over the years with the change in the connection port from a 30pin to a thunderbolt pin for the newer generation of Apple products. Apple has also teamed up with Monster to have Beats by Dre headphones, earphones and speakers that are Apple ready. Apple has also introduced the new EarPods that everyone is memeing on the internet and trolling around with the idea that they are just the same EarPods as before but without the wire.
There is a wide range of cases available in different styles, designs and utility. Cases could either be for exercising where it straps onto your arm, or a charging case just in case you phone is running low, or maybe you might be after a more aesthetic case that looks good on your phone.

Applications on the iOS (Anuj)
Hey guys, we all know that Apple provides apps for everything games, navigation, music, you name it and the App Store will have it! The wide variation in applications and the large consumer base that Apple that has already been established allows many developers to reach out and join with Apple to have their applications published through them.
The preinstalled apps that came with iOS that no one used (depending on what you do on a day to day basis) could never be deleted which sucks especially if you are low on storage, but Apple eventually made it possible with their recent iOS10 update to delete them, and to get them back all you need to do is reset your phone back to factory settings, Easy.
The App Store consists of tons of apps for everyone and for every age and has a simple layout to find what you need, there is a categories page to find listing everything that you are after. There is also a Top Charts page which reveals the top 100 paid, free and trending apps that users are downloading in the nation. The App Store has applications that are both free or cost a small amount, unless you are after professional designing apps that cost $30.

Negatives of iOS and Android (Anton Li)
The most talked about and most criticised feature of the newest iPhones is the removal of the headphone jack. This type of technology has been around for a long time and Apple removing this port has been criticised by many. The focus has been placed on using wireless headphones and Apple has introduced Airpods to cater for this change. iOS is not an open source software which means Apple controls the operating system, it cannot be exploited by users since the software is locked down.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has also had problems in regards to the battery. There have been many reports and cases of this phone that have been exploding and causing damage to property. The phone has been recalled twice and a solution to the problem still has not been found. Android is a fragmented software since not all phones are capable of running the latest updates due to hardware. This is a huge problem that is yet to be addressed by Google which controls the operating system.

My Personal History of iOS and Android (Anton Li)
My smartphone experience began in 2011 when I first used a Samsung Nexus S that was running android. At the time I knew a few things about what Android could do and enjoyed the experience with Android that I was with Samsung devices for a while. I did not consider the iPhone a phone that I would want due to its price and felt that Android could provide me with a similar experience an iPhone could.
I decided to try the iPhone based on my friends recommendation, since most of my friends have only ever used iPhone and never felt the need to change to Android. That's when I decided to choose the iPhone 6 back in 2014. I have been using it ever since and would not go back to Android because I found that apps were more optimised for the iPhone. The operating system felt more smooth and not filled with bloatware like Android.

Comparison between iOS and Android operating systems (Anton Li)
iOS and Android are the operating systems that power the smartphones and each operating system has unique features that make it different from the other. iOS 10 is the latest update and Android 7.0 Nougat is the latest update, both operating systems were released in 2016.
iOS 10 has new features that include improvements and new features incorporated within the native messaging system known as iMessage. Photos have received new features that allows the user to locate their photos by people or location. The personal voice assistant Siri has been opened up to third party developers so they can take advantage of this technology with their apps.

iOS Battery Life!! (Anuj)
Hey guys it's Anuj again and this time I'm going to share about the battery life of an Apple device.
That moment you get a brand new apple device the battery life lives to its expectation by lasting an entire day with full use for years. As each model progressed the battery duration increased in accordance to higher use where the device lasts up to a full day or even longer without charge. But for most users that won't be the case.
Apple has tried to improve battery life with their products through updates which enabled settings to allow the users device to operate for longer, such as auto-brightness which automatically adjusts brightness based of the lighting in the room, enable low power mode allowing the device to consume less power through apps being used and causes the lock timer on idle to conserve as much power as possible.
What all iOS users experience eventually is that the battery does wear down and start to last less than it used to when it was new where the device dies at 40% or the power goes down quite fast being 100% and then two minutes later it will be on 70%. But of course this problem can be fixed with a simple battery replacement.

Specification Comparison (Anton Li)
I will do a comparison between the newest devices both Apple and Samsung have to offer in 2016. Apple has introduced the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and Samsung has the Galaxy Note 7 to offer despite the negativity associated with the device which will be explored in another blog post.
The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have new specifications that include water and dust resistance, a dual lens camera on the Plus model iPhone and increased storage capacities that start from 32GB, 128GB and 256GB. These specifications are particularly new to the iPhone and have received positive reviews from smartphone critics.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 featured a new to way unlock the device with the use of an Iris scanner that has not been seen before on a smartphone. The phone also features an improved S pen experience that allows the user to complete more functions than before. Additionally the phone has fast wireless charging.

iPhone Aesthetics! (Tommy Huynh)
It is arguable that aesthetics are one of the most important factors that lead to a consumer's purchasing behaviour. This is because aesthetics gives the buyer a first impression of what they think of the phone. most consumers on the market do not look at specs, but rather focus on what generally 'looks' better and which phone is more popular. In my opinion and on many other forums, iPhone's and especially the newest model iPhone 7 and 7Plus are 2 of the nicest phones out on the market at the moment. The both provide a simplicity; with a sleek look, 1 button functionality which can perform many functions and also come in many comes ranging from black, white, gold, pink etc.
Regardless of it being an iPhone or an Android, both have come along way. It seems to be the targeting point of improvements seems to be bigger screens and simplicity seen in the most recent iPhones that have come out and in the Samsung Galaxy 6 and Samsung Galaxy 7. Also fingerprint scanners are the new technology that have been coming out recently on phones.
The fingerprint scanner allows the user to have a smooth experience with accessing the phone and have improved over the years from having to hold your finger on the home button for a few seconds to just pressing it, showing the technology has really changed.
Overall, iPhone aesthetics are known for its simplicity and quality winning most of the hearts of phone owners!

iPhone Cameras! Do Better Specs Mean A Better Experience? (Tommy Huynh)
As you may know the iPhone 7 and 7 plus have both been getting quite a bit of attention in the past weeks. In this blog we will take a close look at both phones, the 7 and 7 plus, and display the specs and improvements.
The new features Apple implemented to the iPhone 7 and 7 plus were the image optical stabilisation, and the specifically for the 7 plus, there are two lenses which create better depth and also a 2x zoom. Android user's always brag that their 'specs' are better than Apple's, although i personally and many other Apple users, feel as if iOS and the iPhone camera gives the user a better experience and overall a better end product.
Whether it be, taking a quick flick to upload on Instagram or even quickly editing the pics through in house functions. Personally, the almighty specs Android claim to have don't outshine the iPhone 7 and 7 plus.
Here is a full in depth iPhone 7 and 7 plus review! Check this out to get a better understanding of the camera, the specs and even side to side comparisons of previous iPhones :)

Aesthetics & Android! (Kishan Vellappan)
Aesthetics are a very important subject
when it comes to deciding the products we are going to buy, as what we perceive
looks good will usually lead us to buying it. This is no different when it
comes to purchasing phones; the phone was fit well in our hands, bags, pockets,
be slim and visually pleasing. Gone are the days of big bulky phones..
iPhones are known for their simple but
effective styling where as androids can vary vastly. In recent times however,
the standardisation of designs have seen the implementation of a lone home
button on the face of the phone, with additional buttons featured on the sides.
Manufacturers are using materials and
features such as screen size as selling points along with other niche features
like fingerprint scanners. Based on these small differences, the consumer
selects usually the one that best suits their needs.
Humans are very superficial people and therefore carefully monitor the appearance of everything they buy. Not all consumers are caught up with the specification sheets and the capabilities. Therefore android based devices must incorporate visually pleasing devices to remain ahead of the competition.

Accessories for Androids (Thanh Quan Huynh)
Accessories has been a major hit for Androids as there are so many electrical devices that can pair up wireless-ly through Bluetooth or through Wi-Fi.
Some examples of these are:
- Samsung Watch
-Wireless earphones
-Hands Free remote Car earphones
- Fit Bit
Additionally, there are other accessories that doesn't have any purpose but aesthetics,
for example:
* phone cases.
*mobile straps
*mobile pen sticks
*screen protectors
These option sole purpose is to ensure that the phone either looks cool, or is protected from being scratched and broken. Mobile straps are to ensure that the phone has fall from and individuals' phone. phone cases are in the trend because everyone who has a smart phone will definitely
buy it because there is a card holder at the back of a phone or it has a heavy duty protection for the phone to not be broken when it has fallen off a table or someones' hand.

Android Cameras: Good On Paper Only?.... (Kishan Vellappan)
Androids have been notorious implementing extremely powerful cameras (or they say) into their devices, that perform quite poorly to comparably under-spec’d IOS devices.
Manufacturers have worked hard to improve this aspect of Android devices, to allow consumers to get the most of their high mega pixel cameras. Pocketnow reviews the top 4 phone cameras (arguable) of the early 2016.
They include:
- HTC 10
- Galaxy S7
- LG G5
- Huawei P9
Cameras have become an enormous factor in the decision making of consumers due to the vast amount of uses it has. Snapchat, Tinder, Facebook and just overall everyday use requires the user to whip out their phone and take a shot.
Furthermore,
Click here for an iPhone vs Android Camera Battle! The tests indicate how Android devices have vastly improved this aspect of mobile devices are can be said to have taken over iPhones camera reign.

An upsetting spec about Androids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Thanh Quan Huynh)
Hey everyone,
Today we will be talking about one of the specs that Androids phone user all can relate too. Yes, If any of you user know what i am talking about it is the life long Battery life that most Android company promises us.
For Android phones the larger the MaH (milliamp hour) the more long lasting the battery can be. However..........................................
L.O.L , Honesty speaking the battery life of an Android is quite good for the first 4-5 months, THEN it just goes down hill from here. The promise that Android company provide is that the phone will have a long lasting battery life which can be consisted up to 24hours+. However, thats all rubbish because, my Android after 4 months tends to loses it battery life and it does not just stop at a certain life time. BUT, it continues to reduce it battery lief to even less then 4 hours..
This enrages so many individual, because what if someone was talking to another person and suddenly the phone couldn't last long enough for them to transfer their information to each other. Then it would be very annoying. There is an alternative that individuals buy a power bank which is pretty much a portable charger, however, does an individual really want to carry around a brick or a slab that can charge their phone??? or would they really want that promises that android company told us consumers about?? Obviously, everyone would rather want that long lasting battery life because it is so much more convenience for users to have!!!

My Personal Experience With iOS Pt. 2 (Tommy Huynh)
With the ongoing debate of which OS is better, my blog is to present my past experiences with iOS and also a tiny bit about Android, due to using both OS throughout my high school life.
Being the youngest in the family, it is a ritual to be passed down all the phones that have been used by your parents, then your brother and lastly your sister. By the time you receive the phone it is practically unusable. However, i did not complain and rocked my OG Sony Ericsson C902
Eventually my phone became so beat my parents opted to buy me a new phone of my choice, of course i fell into the hype and got the iPhone 4 which had only recently came out at the time. I instantly fell in love with the simplicity of the design and functionality of the OS.
At this time my family only ever bought apple products, except for my big brother being the pioneer and purchasing the first Samsung (Galaxy S3) of the family. Although he eventually got bored of the samsung and switched back to the iPhone in the matter of months.
As my iPhone broke, i was forced to use the Samsung that had been sitting in my brothers drawer for a good 5 months. I used the Samsung S3 for about a year and a half, and in my personal opinion it was not as slick and easy to use as the iPhone.
Skipping the whole iPhone 5 reign, as i still had the S3, i had to wait until the iPhone 6 Plus came out. As soon as the iPhone 6 Plus came out my dad fixed up a contract for me and the sensation of switching back to iOS was amazing. It felt as if the OS was 20x faster or possibly because i had an outdated samsung.
Overall, in all my experiences with iOS and Android, you could definitely call me an iOS/iPhone fanboy. If you enjoyed this blog please check out our previous posts about how the iOS and Android originated.

My Personal Experience With iOS (Anuj)
Hey peeps, it's Anuj and this right here is my personal history using iOS.
My personal history with iOS started in 2009 with the introduction of the iPod Touch, but since then to now iOS has been upgraded and redesigned to a new look with iOS10 which I am currently using now on my iPhone 5. I've just loved the design and simplicity of the iOS interface and enjoyed using it ever since my iPod days. With each and every update I've seen how iOS has developed and it has just grown on me ever since.

With each and every update I've seen how iOS has developed and it has just grown on me ever since.
iOS is very simplistic, the layout and the interface is easy to use and never had any trouble or problems with it. When I use iOS everything is easy to find and is just 'there' and I didn't have to go through multiple folders or menus to find what I am after, the interface feels so smooth and fast when being used and there is never any delay. The camera has many functionalities that can be used depending on the user to either capture in slow motion, or take a panorama shot and even take professional shots too.
iTunes has been upgraded within the years and has made my music experience so much better with given recommendations and follows the same look as iOS devices, simplistic looks. Having all of my music in one spot with a drag and drop ability to sync my phone with new music, movies etc. makes having an iOS device that much better. On top of this my phone can sync up with different iTunes on another system and transfer music/files between the devices
Overall my experience using an iOS device has been great and there hasn't been much to complain about, besides the change in the gun emoji. But I don't see myself switching to Android anytime soon.
